Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Faculty of Dentistry has added a new milestone to its public awareness activities carried out within the framework of its social contribution vision.
On March 25, 2026, a comprehensive training program titled "Oral and Dental Health Care" was organized for the staff and probationers of the Çarşamba Probation Directorate, in collaboration with the OMU Faculty of Dentistry.
Significant Support from Our Academic Staff The seminar, which saw high attendance, was conducted with the participation of our faculty members Prof. Dr. Elif Eser Acarel, Spec. Dt. İrem Özceylan, and Spec. Dt. Merve Sayın Topçu. During the session, general methods for protecting oral and dental health were discussed, with a particular focus on the devastating effects of substance use on oral tissues and dental health, supported by scientific data.
Exchange of Ideas for Future Projects At the conclusion of the program, Habil Kanoğlu, the Director of the Çarşamba Probation Directorate, expressed his gratitude to our esteemed academics and presented them with gifts in appreciation of their contributions.
During the visit, consultations were also held regarding potential joint projects and sustainable collaboration models that could be implemented in the future, specifically focusing on oral and dental health rehabilitation within the scope of combating substance addiction.
