Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Basic Medical Sciences, provides foundational medical education. Through various educational activities across different stages and years of the undergraduate medical curriculum, the department teaches essential life sustaining characteristics, diseases, disease mechanisms, and the fundamental principles of treatment. While these educational activities are conducted, specialty medical training is also provided by the relevant departments. Furthermore, academic activities for doctoral and master's students studying within the university are carried out by these units.
