In our Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, theoretical and clinical applications and master, speciality and doctorate education are given to 3rd, 4th, 5th grades. Theoretical and clinical anamnesis, intraoral and extraoral examination, treatment planning, intraoral and extraoral raphyography techniques and interpretation, digital imaging, radiation physics, biology and radiation protection, periodontal radiology, soft tissue calcifications, systemic diseases, dental anomalies, Craniofacial anomalies, odontogenic and non-odontogenic cysts, malignant and benign tumours, diseases involving the jaw bone, oral mucosa diseases, temporomandibular joint imaging and diseases, salivary gland diseases, maxillary sinus and advanced imaging techniquesIt is the department where the first examination and evaluation of the patient coming to the faculty is made.It is the department where the first examination and evaluation of the patient coming to the faculty is made. The patient's general health and dental history are learnt. Intraoral and extraoral examinations, ragiographs and, if necessary, cone beam computed tomography, magnetic resonance and ultrasound images are evaluated. As a result of clinical and radiological evaluations made by physicians, patients are directed to the relevant departments with appropriate treatment options. Our department has two clinics. Clinical examination of the patient is performed in the Oral Diagnosis Clinic and radiographic examinations are performed in the Radiology Clinic. Digital periapical (phosphor plate), digital panoramic imaging and cone beam computed tomography, medical monitor and various computer software in the radiology clinic are used for radiographic examinations of patients applying to our faculty and for academic studies._
